1 May 2012: Today found us in Vieste, just an hour’s drive along a winding road west bound on the Gargano peninsula (the spur).
What a lovely surprise this town has been. It is a national holiday here and the town was busy with celebrating families.
We spent half the day walking its picturesque pathways and alleyways, finding lots to photograph including having lunch overlooking the Adriatic
and these boys daring each other to jump into the sea from a high rock.
This unusual chalky stack was on the western side of town.
We continue on tomorrow to Manfredonia, hopefully our last stop before leaving for Corfu on Thursday 3 May.
