6 May 2012: We have been chatting to a neighbour travelling from Germany on a motor bike who has recommended a beach destination involving a steep walk down a rocky path (about 140 metres down) on the peninsular of Cape Arilla on the north west coast of Corfu.

This is a twin beach, either side of the peninsula:

The water was cooler than we expected but we both managed a dip albeit very quickly.

We had a million dollar view at lunch prior to our descent.
