2 May 2012: We drove the coast road from Vieste, winding along the cliff tops for miles and miles, tree clad escarpments on one side and sheer drops to the sea on the other.

We arrived in the outskirts of Manfredonia and easily found a huge supermarket where we stocked up on supplies to last us until Corfu. We circumnavigated the unattractive town of Manfredonia and found our campsite a few miles out the other side. This was a pleasant surprise, friendly staff, brand new shower block and only metres from the beach.
